Gibbs is a puppy from our NCIS litter. This litter was raised with the show, NCIS, playing in the background for a full ten weeks. When it came time to name them, they pretty much all got NCIS names. Gibbs is named for the protagonist, Jethro Gibbs, on the show.

The best description of Gibbs is that he is pretty silly and thinks an awful lot about himself. That and the pursuit of food is an obsession with him. I dare not leave a bag of kibble in a room with him OR leaning up against his crate.

The litter was born on August 3, 2011. There were ten of them, and six of them were show quality. We ended up keeping three of them.

Gibbs is already an AKC Grand Champion (before the age of two). He had some pretty nice wins along the way including Winner’s Dog for a five point major in Butler, PA. The show was held in conjunction with the National Specialty that year so the entry was loaded with nice quality dogs.

His AKC name is “GCH Celebra’s Good Enough for Government Work?” Here is his pedigree.

In 2016, we sent Gibbs to live with Jamie Donelson in Connecticut. His new owner, Joyci Feldman of Bear Manor, wanted him shown on the East coast. He retired at the end of 2019. He was a gold grand champion when he retired. He had won 4 Best In Shows. He also won one specialty best of breed. He won Westminster Best of Breed in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
